The Gospel in 6 Words

I pray that all of you had a blessed Easter.
As for me, it couldn't have been more perfect.
An incredible message at church this morning.
Spending the day with with my wonderful husband
and my two beautiful daughters.
And, most of all, celebrating the resurrection of
my Lord and Savior and what He did for us.
Thank you Jesus!

Allow me to share this video with you.

Birds and Angels

It's difficult for me to fill my booth at Country Roads
without taking the "long way" to the front door,
and doing a little "browsing".
Does Brighton make blinders?
My husband is convinced that I need some but I'll
refuse to wear them unless they have some BLING.
So last week I spotted this beautiful birdcage shelf
and it was...wait for it... HAAALF PRIIIIICE!!!
(sung like Oprah at a giveaway) lol
The vendor even threw in the beautiful card above!
Notice they're the the same birds I have on my blog?
I am such a sucker when it comes to birds,
and birdcages, and bird nests, and...
white angels, especially when they're attached to a cute
little birdie like the one sitting on this little one's foot.
I like to add a little moss to them, I guess it's the contrast.
Lastly, I wanted to show you this very romantic looking
little rose bird that I found at Michael's
Doesn't she look perfect perched in her nest?
I've had this arrangement forever just waiting for the perfect
thing to finish it off. I think she was it!
You can't really see it because the ivy is covering the base,
but there is a moss covered urn under there.
Oh, and the eggs are just some of my Dollar Tree eggs
decoupaged with beautiful rose napkins.

Happy White Wednesday ladies!

Busy Crafting

My need to craft has taken over my mind.
I see something and ask myself "what can I do with it"
I want to add "a little something" to EVERYTHING.
I've been painting, gluing, decoupaging, stamping, and adding bling to just about anything that isn't moving.
My husband and daughter are constantly bobbing and weaving cuz they're afraid to stand still.
That said, let me show you what I mean.
I felt this craft store bird needed something added to it's crown. Glitter and pearls? Yes!
I created this lovely flower out of old book pages
I added it to this burlap covered wreath I made
and added a bit of spanish moss and white flowers
This little green tin needed flowers and some "dressing up"
I wanted to add something to the bottom of this rabbit finial. I chose the word "relax" because he looks like he's just sitting there chilling.
I was already working on this next project when I realized that I forgot to take a "before" picture. Grrr!
It is a thrift store find that originally came from TJMaxx.
It had butterflies in bright colors, sequence, metalic thread. Yuck!
So I scraped, sanded, primed and began to decoupage.
Here's the finished product with some added pearls.
"The Last Queen" was the chapter I was using.
So many crafts, so little time!
I've got lots more I want to share with you.
Hope you come back and visit!

Easter Whites

Do you remember this teaser from last week?
It is my decoupaged Easter egg...
that belongs to this pretty bunny!
This is her sister with a jute covered egg.
When I found these ladies they were holding big,
colorful daisies. They were pretty, but I envisioned
them with something more unique and maybe a
little blingy head piece.
I found this wall tin at the Thriftique.
I recognized it as a Michael's novelty item from
a few years back.  I didn't buy one then, but
for a mere two bucks I thought now was the
right time to bring this baby home and ...create!
So I gathered my paint, burlap, old book pages,
tiny flowers, rhinestones, some Scrabble pieces,
and a heap of patience and I began...creating.
 Hope you like it!
Blessings to you all!
